Plein Air & Urban Sketch Workshop with Bibi S. Brion
Thursday, October 30, 2025
1:00 PM – 4:00PM
Blossburg Memorial Library
307 Main Street, Blossburg, PA 16912
As a new addition to the 2025 Rivers, Coal & Crafts series, local artist Bibi S. Brion returns to the Blossburg Memorial Library to lead a workshop for plein air and urban sketch artists.
Bibi will share techniques to help artists of all levels, including tips for drawing on location and visually measuring angles and distances.
Bring your sketchbook and pencils (or any materials you prefer) and join us for a workshop that begins indoors before heading out into the streets of Blossburg to practice!
This is a FREE workshop, but space is limited. Call the Blossburg Memorial Library at 570-638-2197 to register.
Funding for this workshop is provided through a grant to the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy from the Susquehanna River Basin Commission.
Blossburg’s rich coal mining history and the ongoing restoration of the Tioga River are coming together! Rivers, Coal & Crafts is an exciting series of community events that launched this spring, connecting residents and visitors with the land, water, and stories that shaped this region.
Through hands-on workshops, craft projects, and storytelling, participants of all ages are learning about the decades-long impacts of Abandoned Mine Drainage (AMD) on the Tioga River—and how the Northcentral Pennsylvania Conservancy and its partners are working together to restore the river and its surrounding landscape for future generations.
